PASSION FRUIT MIMOSA
Ingredients
Instructions
- Using a paring knife, cut a vertical slit in the bottom of 1 fresh strawberry (optional garnish). Set aside.
- Add 2 ounces chilled passion fruit juice blend, and 1 teaspoon brandy (optional), to a small measuring cup (see Note #2), and stir to combine. Pour the juice mixture into a chilled champagne flute. Then top with 4 ounces chilled Brut Champagne (sparkling wine or prosecco), making sure to pour each glass in stages so those precious bubbles don’t overflow. Garnish the rim with the prepared strawberry. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For recommendations on what type of bubbly to use, visit my Blog Comments & Tips on the website.
- I prefer using a measuring cup to mix the passion fruit juice and brandy, because champagne flutes are more delicate and can easily break. However, you can pour the passion fruit juice and brandy directly into a chilled champagne flute, and carefully stir them together.
- For make ahead instructions for entertaining, visit the Pimp My Recipe section for this recipe in my Blog Comments & Tips on the website.
- Recipe can be increased to as many servings as needed. One split champagne bottle will be enough for two servings (just double the recipe). A regular 750 mL champagne bottle will be enough for 8 servings of this cocktail.
- This recipe makes 1 serving.

How to Make this Delicious Passion Fruit Mimosa!
Blog Comments & Tips
A Delightful Cocktail for All Occasions!
This Passion Fruit Mimosa couldn’t be easier to make, and it’s so delicious! Using only 3 ingredients, it’s a great choice when you want a quick and easy cocktail that feels elegant. Enjoy this delightful Champagne cocktail in the morning with brunch, in the afternoon for a special lunch, or as an apéritif to your evening meal.
I purposely used a split bottle (187 mL) of sparkling wine (Champagne) so I could make this recipe for one. The split bottle has just the right amount of Champagne for two Passion Fruit Mimosas, making this a great apéritif for a Valentine’s Day brunch, lunch, or dinner. This recipe also works well for a small gathering. Just buy a regular 750 mL of Champagne (sparkling wine or prosecco), and you’ll have enough to make 8 Passion Fruit Mimosas!
If you love mimosas but want a bit of a change from the traditional orange mimosas, then I encourage you to try this recipe. It’s unique and delicious!
How do you ensure the best results from this recipe?
My 5 tips to making a perfect Passion Fruit Mimosa:
For this recipe, I used Ceres 100% passion fruit juice blend which gave the cocktail a natural sweetness without added sugars.
You don’t need to buy the most expensive Champagne. However, with about 4 ounces of Champagne per cocktail, you should definitely buy one that you like to drink on its own as it has a big impact on the flavor of your cocktail. Split bottles (187 mL) of Champagne, sparkling wine, and prosecco are harder to find, which is why I used this economical Saint-Reine Blanc de Blancs Brut Sparkling Wine for this photo shoot. The cocktail tasted great, but my favorite brands to use are still Moet & Chandon Imperial Brut Champagne, or the half bottle (375 mL) of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut Champagne.
Chill your glasses, juice, and Champagne before making this cocktail, as it uses no ice.
