Bananes Flambée (Bananas Foster)
Although this may not be the prettiest dessert, Bananes Flambée just might be one of the best you have ever tasted! This quintessential French dessert is also known as Bananas Foster, and is surprisingly easy to make. Butter and two types of sugar combine to create a rich caramel sauce. Very ripe bananas are then caramelized in the sauce and flambéed with brandy (or Cognac). This delectable hot caramel sauce is then poured over vanilla ice cream to create the most magical dessert.
